We work with patient partners and with organizations to apply Maker solutions to healthcare. Our workshops focus around designing and generating solutions to different issues faced by patients.
In partnership with Albercook Scientific, we have developed a wearable LED prototype made to display continuous glucose monitor data for patients with type 1 diabetes.

Innovation in Diabetes Education
We have hosted hacking and gaming workshops for children and adolescents with diabetes and we are now integrating a peer-to-peer diabetes gaming educational experience into the diabetes clinic.
Integrating Design into Healthcare and Undergraduate Education
We are creating opportunities for students from the School of Art and Design and the School of Information to partner with patients and caregivers using human-centered design and participatory design.
